Did you not consider those who were given a part of the book? (When) they are called towards the book of Allah that it may decide between them, then a sect of them turn back and they keep away. (Al Quran, Surah Al Imran, Chapter 3: Verse 23)

“Some of the people given Divine books do not follow the instructions given therein saying that the fire will effect them temporarily for a counted number of days, this is because that which they have forged in religion deceives them. On the day of judgment everyone will be paid back what he earned and injustice will not be done.”
