58. SHAYAATINIHIM (Their devils) شَيَاطِيْنِهِمْ ( ش ط ن ) 2:14 Cont’d…Part 3

Rasoolullah ke dil ko paak kiya gaya
  • Sahih Muslim ki hadith, Rasoolullah (صلى الله عليه وسلم) bachpane me, jab aap khel rahe the, to Jibrail ne aap ko pakda aur zameen par layttaya, phir aap (صلى الله عليه وسلم) ka seena chaak kiya, aur aap ke dil ko nikala, jis me se ek khoon ka lotthda nikal diya, aur kaha: ye Shaitan ka hissa tha aap ke andar. Phir aap ke dil ko zamzam ke paani se dhoya – sonay ke bartan me. Phir dil ko wapas seene me jodh diya aur seena band kiya. Aap ke doodh shareek bhai, Dayee Halima ke paas daudh kar gaye aur kaha ke Muahmmad (صلى الله عليه وسلم) ka qatl ho gaya hai. Jab wo log daude aap (صلى الله عليه وسلم) ki taraf aur unhe theek paya, lekin aap ke chehre ka rang uda huwa tha, aur Anas (رَضِيَ ٱللَّٰهُ عَنْه) farmate hain ke, maine aap (صلى الله عليه وسلم) ke seene par taakon ke nishan dekhe hain.[1]
    • Shuru se hi aap (صلى الله عليه وسلم) ko protect kar diya gaya tha, shaitan se,
    • Aur bhi ahadith hain, jin me aap (صلى الله عليه وسلم) ne farmaya ke Allah ne meri madad ki hai, aur Shaitan ya jin mujhe bhatka na saka,[2]
    • Yahan tak ke jo jin har insaan ke saath wabasta hai, uss ke baare me bhi aap (صلى الله عليه وسلم) ne farmaya ke, Allah ne meri madad ki, aur maine uss ko musalman bana liya hai. Aaj ke dars me aur ahadith hum aagay sunenge,
    • To ye Quran ka mamela hai, jo Allah ki taraf se insaano ko aakhri hidayat hai, to inn tamam ikhdamat iss liye huwe, kyun ke, Quran me Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى) farmate hain ke, maine Quran ki hifazat ki zimmadari li hai.
Shaitan se mutalliq
  • Abu Dawood ki hadith, Humaid kehte hain ke, Hassan hamare paas Makkah tashreef laye, to ahle Makkah ke fuqaha ne Mujh se kaha ke main unn se, darkhast karoon ke, wo unn ke liye ek din muqarrar kare aur waaz farmaye.
    • Hassan, uss ke liye razi ho gaye, to log ikhatta huwe aur aap ne unhe khitaab kiya, Hadith ke rawi kehte hain ke, maine unn se bada khateeb kisi ko nahi dekha,
    • Ek shakhs ne sawal kiya, Shaitan ko kis ne paida kiya?
    • Unhone kaha: Subhan Allah! kya Allah ke siway koi aur khaliq bhi hai?

    • Abu Dawood hi ki ek aur hadith me farmaya ke, Main dekh raha hoon ke Shaitan saffon ke darmiyan ki khala se kale bakri ke bachhe ki tarah dakhil ho raha hai.[5]
  • Muslim ki hadith, farmaya Rasoolullah (صلى الله عليه وسلم) ne ke, Munafiq ki namaz iss tarah ki hoti hai ke, wo sooraj ko dekhte baitth’ta hai, aur jab wo (dhal kar) peela ho jata hai aur shaitan ke do seenghon ke beech me hota hai, to wo utth kar namaz parrhne jata hai aur 4 rakat jaldi jaldi parrhta hai, aur Allah ko yaad karta hai magar bohot hi kum.[6]
  • Ibn Majah ki hadith, farmaya Rasoolullah (صلى الله عليه وسلم) ne ke,
    • Sooraj Shaitan ke do seenghon ke darmiyan tulu hota hai, ya aap (صلى الله عليه وسلم) ne farmaya ke dono seengh ke saath tulu hotay hain.
    • Aur jab wo tulu ho jata hai to Shaitan uss se alag ho jata hai.
    • Jab wo aasman ke wast me, urooj par hota hai, to wo uss ke saath hota hai, phir jab wo bulandi se dhalne lagta hai, to wo uss se alag ho jata hai,

  • Muslim ki ek hadith, farmaya Rasoolullah (صلى الله عليه وسلم) ne ke, Jab ibn adam ayat-e-sajdah tilawat kar ke sajda karta hai, to shaitan alag ho kar ronay lagta hai, aur kehta hai: Haye afsos! Ibn Adam ko sajday ka hukum diya gaya to uss ne sajda kar liya, to wo Jannat ka mustahaq ban gaya, jab ke mujhe sajde ka hukum diya gaya to maine inkaar kar diya aur Jahannam mera muqaddar ban gayee.[8]
  • Ahmad ki hadith, Ibn Umar (رَضِيَ ٱللَّٰهُ عَنْه) tashahhud me baitthe, haathon ko ghutno par rakha aur shahadat ki ungli se ishara karte aur nazar ya tawajjoh ungli par rakhte, phir farmaya ke, Rasoolullah (صلى الله عليه وسلم) ne farmaya ke Shahdat ki ungli, shaitan ke liye lohay se zyada sakht hai.[9]
  • Ek Muttafiqun alaih hadith, Ibn Masood ne farmaya, tum me se koi shakhs apni namaz se shaitan ke liye hissa na banaye, wo iss tarah ke wo samjhe ke, Salam pherne ke baad, sirf dayee taraf se hi rukh badlega, halanke maine Rasoolullah (صلى الله عليه وسلم) ko dekha ke aap aksar bayeen taraf se ghoom kar (logon ki taraf baitth’te the).[10]
    • Aap (صلى الله عليه وسلم) salam pherne ke baad ghoom kar logon ki taraf rukh kar ke baitth’te,
    • To ghoomte waqt aap (صلى الله عليه وسلم) dayee taraf se aur bayee taraf se, dono taraf se ghoomte.
    • To iss hadith me bataya ja raha hai ke, ye sonchna ghalat hai ke, aap (صلى الله عليه وسلم) sirf dayee taraf se ghooma karte the, balke aap bayee taraf se bhi ghooma karte the.
  • Ek aur Muttafiqun alaih hadith, farmaya Rasoolullah (صلى الله عليه وسلم) ne ke, Jab tum me se koi namaz parrh raha hota hai, to shaitan uss ke paas aaker usay mughalatay me daalta hai, confusion me daalta hai, yahan tak ke, wo nahi jaanta ke uss ne kitni namaz parrhi hai. Jab tum me se koi aisi soorat paye, to wo baitthne ki halat me (yani aakhri tashahhud me) do sajday kar le.[11]
    • Ek aur hadith me farmaya ke, jab aisi soorat paye, to jitni rakat par yaqeen hai utni rakat maan kar baqi namaz poori kare aur sajda sahoo kare, aur
    • Agar uss ki namaz me ek rakat zyada thi, to Allah uss ek rakat ko nawafil me shamil kar dega, aur
    • Agar uss ki namaz me koi kami nahi rahi, yani wo ek rakat namaz ko porra kar di, to wo do sajday Shaitan ki naak ko zameen par ya khaak me ragad dete hain.[12]

To Abu Rafi ne usay khol diya.
  • Ibn Majah aur Muslim ki ahadith, Farmaya Rasoolullah (صلى الله عليه وسلم) ne ke, Aurat, gadhay aur kaale kutte ke Namazi ke saamne guzarne se namaz toot jaati hai, agar namazi ke saamne sutrah na rakha gaya ho, kaale kutte ke baare me aap (صلى الله عليه وسلم) se poochha gaya, to aap (صلى الله عليه وسلم) ne farmaya ke, kaala kutta shaitan hai.[15]
  • Ibn Majah ki ek aur hadith, farmaya Rasoolullah (صلى الله عليه وسلم) ne ke, raat ko shaitan tumhari gardano me ek rassi bandhta hai, jis me teen knots ya gantth hoti hain,
    • Agar wo neend se utth kar Allah ko yaad kare to ek girah, ya ek gantth khul jati hai,
    • Agar wo wazu karta hai to doosri girah khul jaati hai, aur
    • Agar wo namaz ke liye utth’ta hai to tamam girhein, tamam knots khul jaati hai.
    • Iss liye wo energetic, yani tawana aur khush mizaj bedar hota hai aur uss ne din ke shuru me hi kuch acha kama liya hai,
    • Lekin agar wo aisa nahi karta to, wo bad mizaj ho jata hai, uss ne kuch bhi acha nahi kamaya.[16]
  • Muslim ki ek hadith, Aisha (رَضِيَ ٱللَّٰهُ عَنْها) bayan karti hain, Rasoolullah (صلى الله عليه وسلم) Namaz, Allahu Akbar se aur Surah al-Fatiha ki Qirat se shuru karte the,
    • Jab aap (صلى الله عليه وسلم) ruku karte to, apna sar mubarak na ooper utthate the, aur na neeche jhukate the, balke inn dono sooraton ke darmiyan barabar rakhte the, spine bilkul flat hona chahiye,
    • Jab ruku se sar utthate to, bilkul seedha khaday hote, aur phir sajda karte,
    • Jab sajday se sar utthate to, phir itmenan se baitth jaate aur phir doosra sajda karte,
    • Phir do rakaton ke baad attahiyat parrhte the, aap baaye paaon ko bichha dete aur daaye paaon khada kar dete the,
    • Aap (صلى الله عليه وسلم) ne shaitan ke tareeqe se, aediyon par baitthne se mana kiya,

Ye sunn kar aap (صلى الله عليه وسلم) ne farmaya, Ye matt kaho, uss ke khilaaf shaitan ki madad na karo.[20]
General mazameen ke mutalliq
  • Nasai ki hadith, farmaya Rasoolullah (صلى الله عليه وسلم) ne ke, Nazar ki do qismein hain, jo shakhs ita’at me nazar ya mannat maane, to aisi nazar Allah ke liye hai aur usay poora karna hai, aur jis ne gunah ki ya na-farmani ki nazar maani, to wo shaitan ke liye hai, wo poori nahi karna chahiye, aur wo uss ka kaffara qasam todhne ke kaffare ke hisaab se ada kare.[21]
  • Tirmidhi aur Ibn Majah ki ahadith, farmaya Rasoolullah (صلى الله عليه وسلم) ne ke, Jab tak qaazi zulm na kare, to Allah uss ke saath hotay hai, jab wo zulm karta hai, to Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى) uss se alag ho jaate hain aur shaitan uss ke saath lag jaata hai. Ek aur riwayat me hai ke, Jab wo zulm karta hai, to Allah usay uss ke nafs ke supurd kar dete hain.[22]
To aap (صلى الله عليه وسلم) se poochha gaya, Allah ke Rasool (صلى الله عليه وسلم), kya aap me bhi (shaitan gardish karta hai)? aap (صلى الله عليه وسلم) ne farmaya, haan mujh me bhi, lekin Allah ne uss ke khilaf meri madad ki hai, to main mehfooz hoon.[23]
    • Issi silsilay me Tirmidhi ki ek aur hadith, jab aap (صلى الله عليه وسلم) auraton ke paas jaanay se mana kiya, to Ansar me se ek shakhs ne poochha, aap al-Hamu ke baare me kya sonchte hain?

    • To aap (صلى الله عليه وسلم) ne farmaya ke al-Hamu maut hai.[25]
  • Ye hadith hum iss se pehle bhi sunn chuke hain, lekin ye hadith Aisha (رَضِيَ ٱللَّٰهُ عَنْها) ka version hai, wo farmati hain ke, Rasoolullah (صلى الله عليه وسلم) ek raat, mere paas se hujre ke bahar tashreef le gaye, aap ke jaane ke baad main jazbaati ho gayee, english me iss ka tarjuma jealous ke kiye gaye hain, to jab aap (صلى الله عليه وسلم) thodi dayr baad wapas aaye, aur aap ne meri halat dekhi to farmaya, Aisha kya huwa, kya tum jazbati ho gayee ho, are you jealous?
    • Maine arz kiya: Mujhe kya hai ke mujh jaisi ko aap jaise ke liye jazbati na kare,

  • Muslim ki hadith, farmaya Rasoolullah (صلى الله عليه وسلم) ne ke, Jab raat apne parr phailana shuru kare, ya jab shaam ho jaye, to apne bachhon ko ghar se bahar jaane se roko, kyun ke, uss waqt Shaitan bahar hota hai.
    • Aur jab raat ka kuch hissa guzar jaye to unhe bahar nikalne ki ijazat do, aur darwaze band kar do, Allah ka zikr karte huwe, kyun ke, shaitan band darwaze nahi kholta.
    • Aur paani ke mashkeezon ke munh band kar do, Allah ka zikr karte huwe,
    • Apne bartano ko dhaamp do, Allah ka zikr karte huwe, ya koi na koi cheez bartano par rakh dena chahiye,

    • Teesri raat wo phir aya aur iss baar Abu Hurairah ne kaha ke, ab to Rasoolullah (صلى الله عليه وسلم) ke paas le jana zaroori ho gaya hai, kyun ke, doosri raat ko tu ne na aanay ka wada kiya aur aaj wada khilafi ki.
    • To wo shakhs ne Abu Hurairah (رَضِيَ ٱللَّٰهُ عَنْه) se kaha ke iss martaba tum mujhe chhorrh dogay to main tumhe aise chand kalimat sikha doonga, jis se Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى) tumhe faida pahunchayega.
    • Maine poochha ke wo kalimaat kya hain? To uss ne kaha ke jab tum apne bistar par layttne lago to ayat al-Kursi parrh liya karo. Ek nigrani karne wala farishta, Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى) ki taraf se tumhari hifazat karta rahega aur subah tak shaitan tumhare qareeb bhi na aa sakega.
    • Jab aglay din ye waqiyat aap (صلى الله عليه وسلم) ko bataye gaye to aap ne farmaya ke, agarche wo jhoota tha, lekin tum se ye baat sach keh gaya hai.
    • sachha khwab, kisi aisi cheez ke baare me, jo khud ke saath huwi ho, aur
    • Aise khwab, jin me Shaitan kisi ko darata ho. To agar koi shakhs khwab me wo dekhe jo usay na pasand ho, to usay chahiye ke utth kar namaz parrhe,
    • Aur aap (صلى الله عليه وسلم) ne farmaya ke, mujhe bediyan pasand hain aur lohay ka collar na-pasand hai, aur deen me bediyan sabit qadmi hai.
    • Aur aap (صلى الله عليه وسلم) ne farmaya ke, jis kisi ne mujhe khwab me dekha, to wo main hi hoon, beshak Shaitan meri shakal me nahi aa sakta.
    • Phir aap (صلى الله عليه وسلم) ne farmaya ke, apne khwab kisi se bayan nahi karna chahiye, siway kisi saheb-e-ilm ke ya kisi mukhlis mashwara dene walay ke.[31]

Ulama se mutalliq
  • Ibn Majah ki hadith, farmaya Rasoolullah (صلى الله عليه وسلم) ne ke, pakke iman wala Allah ke nazdeek kamzor iman wale se behtar hai, aur zyada mehboob hai, agarche dono hi achhe hain,

[1] Anas b. Malik reported that Gabriel came to the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) while he was playing with his playmates. He took hold of him and lay him prostrate on the ground and tore open his breast and took out the heart from it and then extracted a blood-clot out of it and said: That was the part of Satan in thee. And then he washed it with the water of Zamzam in a golden basin and then it was joined together and restored to it place. So they gathered and he addressed them. I did not see anyone on orator greater than him. A man said: Abu Sa’id, who created Satan? He replied: Glory be to Allah! Is there any creator other than Allah? Allah created Satan, and he created good and created evil. The man said: May Allah ruin them! How do they lie to this old man.

[17] ‘A’isha said that God’s Messenger used to begin prayer with the takbir1 and the recitation of “Praise be to God, the Lord of the universe.”2 When he bowed he neither kept his head up nor bent it down, but kept it between these extremes; when he raised his head after bowing he did not prostrate himself till he had stood erect; when he raised head after a prostration he did not prostrate himself again till he had sat up. At the end of every two rak’as he said the tahiya;3 and he used to bend his left foot and raise up the right; he prohibited the devil’s way of sitting on the heels, and he forbade people to spread out their arms like a wild beast. And he used to finish the prayer with the taslim.4 [Muslim]

  1. e. saying Allahu Akbar (God is most great).
  2. Al-Qur’an; 1.
  3. This is a part of the prayers which comes at the end of every two rak’as, beginning with at-tahiyat lillah and ending with the testimony that there is no god but God and that Muhammad is His servant and Messenger. Tahiyat is the plural of tahiya and the phrase quoted above is variously explained as meaning that endless existence, or dominion, or kingship, or freedom from all evils, or freedom from all causes of cessation of existence belong to God. Alternatively it is taken in its usual meaning of salutations.
  4. Saying, “The peace and mercy of God be upon you,” first with the head turned to the right and then with the head turned to the left. This is said at the end of the prayers.

[30] Narrated Abu Huraira: Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) deputed me to keep Sadaqat (al-Fitr) of Ramadan. A comer came and started taking handfuls of the foodstuff (of the Sadaqa) (stealthily). I took hold of him and said, “By Allah, I will take you to Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) .” He said, “I am needy and have many dependents, and I am in great need.” I released him, and in the morning Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) asked me, “What did your prisoner do yesterday?” I said, “O Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ)! The person complained of being needy and of having many dependents, so, I pitied him and let him go.” Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) said, “Indeed, he told you a lie and he will be coming again.” I believed that he would show up again as Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) had told me that he would return. So, I waited for him watchfully. When he (showed up and) started stealing handfuls of foodstuff, I caught hold of him again and said, “I will definitely take you to Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ). He said, “Leave me, for I am very needy and have many dependents. I promise I will not come back again.” I pitied him and let him go. In the morning Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) asked me, “What did your prisoner do.” I replied, “O Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ)! He complained of his great need and of too many dependents, so I took pity on him and set him free.” Allah’s Apostle said, “Verily, he told you a lie and he will return.” I waited for him attentively for the third time, and when he (came and) started stealing handfuls of the foodstuff, I caught hold of him and said, “I will surely take you to Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) as it is the third time you promise not to return, yet you break your promise and come.” He said, “(Forgive me and) I will teach you some words with which Allah will benefit you.” I asked, “What are they?” He replied, “Whenever you go to bed, recite “Ayat-al-Kursi”– ‘Allahu la ilaha illa huwa-l-Haiy-ul Qaiyum’ till you finish the whole verse. (If you do so), Allah will appoint a guard for you who will stay with you and no satan will come near you till morning. ” So, I released him. In the morning, Allah’s Apostle asked, “What did your prisoner do yesterday?” I replied, “He claimed that he would teach me some words by which Allah will benefit me, so I let him go.” Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) asked, “What are they?” I replied, “He said to me, ‘Whenever you go to bed, recite Ayat-al-Kursi from the beginning to the end —- Allahu la ilaha illa huwa-lHaiy-ul-Qaiyum—-.’ He further said to me, ‘(If you do so), Allah will appoint a guard for you who will stay with you, and no satan will come near you till morning.’ (Abu Huraira or another sub-narrator) added that they (the companions) were very keen to do good deeds. The Prophet (ﷺ) said, “He really spoke the truth, although he is an absolute liar. Do you know whom you were talking to, these three nights, O Abu Huraira?” Abu Huraira said, “No.” He said, “It was Satan.”

[34] A’isha reported: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) came (to my apartment) while there were two girls with me singing the song of the Battle of Bu`ath. He lay down on the bed and turned away his face. Then came Abu Bakr and he scolded me and said: Oh! this musical instrument of the devil in the house of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ)! The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) turned towards him and said: Leave them alone. And when he (the Holy Prophet) became unattentive, I hinted them and they went out, and it was the day of `Id and the black men were playing with shields and spears. (I do not remember) whether I asked the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) or whether he said to me if I desired to see (that sport). I said: Yes. I stood behind him with his face parallel to my face, and he said: O Banu Arfada, be busy (in your sports) till I was satiated. He said (to me): Is that enough? I said: Yes. Upon this he asked me to go.

[35] It was narrated that Abu Hurairah said: “The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: ‘The strong believer is better and more beloved to Allah than the weak believer, although both are good. Strive for that which will benefit you, seek the help of Allah, and do not feel helpless. If anything befalls you, do not say, “if only I had done such and such” rather say “Qaddara Allahu wa ma sha’a fa’ala (Allah has decreed and whatever he wills, He does).” For (saying) ‘If’ opens (the door) to the deeds of Satan.'”
