Bismillah,…, Alhamdulillahi wahdah was salaatu was salaamu ala man la nabiya ba’adah

Rabbish sharah li sadri wa yassirli amri wahlul uqdatam min lisaani yafqahu qauli

As Salaamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu

Pichle dars me hum Surah al-Baqarah ki 13wi ayat ki tafseer sunn rahe the, jiss mein lafz-e-yalamuun ki tafseel Quran aur Hadith ki roshni me sunn rahe the, aur aaj ke dars me issi lafz par ahadith ka silsila aage chal raha hai.

Abhi tak jo ahadith humne suni, unn me lafz-e-ilm ke jo maane aye hain, wo hain;

  • Seekhna,
  • Sikhaana,
  • Janna, ya Maloomaat rehna,
  • Ilm,
  • Yaad kar lena,
  • Taleb-e-Ilm, ya student ke aye hain,
  • Ab aaj agay hum maane bhi dekhte chalenge,

Tarjuma wa Tafseer

Seekhna aur Sikhana

  • Ab ye jo hadith aa rahi hai, ilm seekhne me, aur khaas taur par ahadith seekhne aur sikhaane me, intehayi ehtiyaat se sahaba pesh aya karte the, aur jo waqt sarf kiya in mamelaat me, wo zahir hota hai,
    • Iss Sahih Muslim ki hadith me, Amma Ayesha (رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا) unn ki behen ke bete, Urwah bin Zubair ko hidayat karti hain ke, Abdullah bin ‘Amr al-‘Aas (رَضِيَ ٱللَّٰهُ عَنْهُما) hamare paas se hajj ke mausam mein guzarte hain, to tum unn se milo aur unn se ilm seekho, kyun ke, unhon ne Rasoolullah (صَلَّى ٱللَّٰهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ) se bahut ziyada ilm haasil kiya hai,
    • Abdulla bin Amr ibn al-‘Aas (رَضِيَ ٱللَّٰهُ عَنْهُما) wo hain jo sab se pehle ahadith likhna shuru kiya,[1] unn ki kitab as-Saheefa as-Saadiqah unn ke khandan me rahi, jis me 1000 ahadith thi,[2]
    • Urwah bin Zubair (رَضِيَ ٱللَّٰهُ عَنْهُ) farmate hain ke, chunanche maine Abdullah bin Amr se mulaqat ki aur unn cheezon ke baray mein poocha, jo unhone Rasoolullah (صَلَّى ٱللَّٰهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ) se riwayat ki hain, unn mein ye hadith bhi thi;
      • Be-shak Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى) barah-e-raast logon se ilm nahi chheenta balkay ulama ko chheen leta hai aur iss ke nateejay mein unn ke saath (ilm) bhi chala jata hai aur unn ke darmiyan jahilon ko chhorr deta hai, unke rehnuma (ya leaders) banakar, jo mazhabi faislay sunaate hain baghair sahih ilm ke aur khud bhi gumraah hotay hain aur doosron ko bhi gumraah karte hain.
      • Urwah (رَضِيَ ٱللَّٰهُ عَنْهُ) ne kaha: jab mein ne yeh baat Aisha (رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا) se bayan ki to unhone iss hadith par yaqeen nahi kiya aur iss ko sach maan-ne se hichkichahat zahir ki aur Urwah (رَضِيَ ٱللَّٰهُ عَنْهُ) se poochha: kya Abdullah bin ‘Amr al-‘As (رَضِيَ ٱللَّٰهُ عَنْهُما) ne tum se ye kaha ‘ke mein ne RasoolAllah (صَلَّى ٱللَّٰهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ) ko yeh farmatay huwe suna hai’: (lekin) Urwah bin Zubair (رَضِيَ ٱللَّٰهُ عَنْهُ) unn se ye baat poochna bhool gaye the,
      • Phir jab agla saal aaya, toh Aisha (رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا) ne Urwah se kaha ke, Abdullah bin Amr al-As (رَضِيَ ٱللَّٰهُ عَنْهُما) hajj ke liye aaye huwe hain, to tum unn se iss hadees ke baray mein poocho jo unhone (pichle saal hajj ke mauke par) ilm ke mutaliq bayan ki thi.
      • Toh Urwah, phir unn se mile aur iss (hadith) ke baray mein poocha to unhone wo hadith bilkul ussi tarah bayan ki, jaisa ke unhone pehli baar bayan kiya tha,
      • jab mein ne ye baat Aisha (رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا) ko batayi, to unhone farmaya: ‘Abdullah bin ‘Amr al-‘As (رَضِيَ ٱللَّٰهُ عَنْهُ) ne yaqeenan sach kaha hai aur mujhe ye pata lag gaya ke unhone ne iss (hadith) mein na hi koi izafa kiya hai aur nahi iss (hadith) mein koi kami ki hai.[3]
      • To deen ka ilm hasil karne me, ahadith ke jama karne me sahaba aur unn ke shagird itna ehtiyaat kiya karte the,
      • Ek to ahadith ko unn logon se hi sunte the, jinhone directly Rasoolullah (صلى الله عليه وسلم) se suna ho,
      • Aur phir cross check kiya karte the ke, bayan karne wala, ahadith ke alfaz me koi tabdeeli to nahi kar raha hai.
    • Seekhne ke taloq se Bukhari ki ek aur hadith, Abdullah ibn Masoud farmaate hain ke, unhone Rasoolullah (صلى الله عليه وسلم) sattar (70) suratein seekhay.[4] Directly 70 surah seekhay.
    • Issi silsilay me Ibn Majah ki ek aur hadith milti hai, farmaya Rasoolullah (صلى الله عليه وسلم) ne ke, jo koi ilm sikhaye, uss ko waisa hi ajr milega jaisa amal karne wala uss par amal karta hai, yani amal karne wale ke barabar ajr milega, aur amal karne wale ke ajr me koi kami nahi ki jayegi.[5]
    • Ibn Majah hi ki ek lambi haidth, farmaya Rasoolullah (صلى الله عليه وسلم) ne ke, agar kisi ke paas ek ghulam aurat ho, aur wo usay ilm aur ache akhlaaq sikhaye, usay azad karde aur uss se shadi kar le, to uss shaqs ko dohra sawab milega…[6]
    • Ek Muttafiqun Alaih hadith me aya hai ke, ek waqt ek aurat aap (صلى الله عليه وسلم) ke paas ayee aur kaha ke, sirf mard aap se ilm seekhtay hain, to aap hum auraton ke liye bhi ek din muqarrar kariye, takay hum bhi aap (صلى الله عليه وسلم) se ilm seekhen, to aap (صلى الله عليه وسلم) ne unn ke liye ek din muqarrar kiya aur unhe sikhaya…[7]

Lafz-e-Ilm

  • Lafz-e-Ilm ya knowledge par jo ahadith ayee hain, unn me, Sahih Muslim ki ek hadith, farmaya Rasoolullah (صَلَّى ٱللَّٰهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ) ne ke, susti se ilm hasil nahi kiya ja sakta.[8]
  • Bukhari, Tirmidhi aur Ibn Majah ki ek hadith, Ibn Abbas Farmate hain ke, ek waqt Rasoolullah (صَلَّى ٱللَّٰهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ) ne, unhe seene se lagaya aur dua ki, Aye Allah isay, yani ke Ibn Abbas ko Quran ka ilm ata kar.[9]
    • Uski zindagi aur usne usay kaise guzara,
    • Uss ka ilm, aur usne uss ilm ka kaise istemaal kiya,
    • Uss ka maal, aur usne usay kaise kamaya,
    • aur wo maal kahan kharch kiya,
    • Aur Uss ke jism ke baare me, usne usay kaise khatam kiya.[10]
  • Ek aur Muttafiqun alaih hadith me, farmaya Rasoolullah (صلى الله عليه وسلم) ne ke, Main jab so raha tha, to khaab me dekha ke, ek doodh ka pyala mujhe pesh kiya gaya aur maine uss me se ji bhar ke pi liya, yahan tak ke uss ki nami mere nakhoon se nikalne lagi, phir maine wo pyala jis me bacha huwa doodh tha, Umar ibn al-Khattab ko de diya. Poocha gaya ke, iss ka kya matlab hai, to aap (صلى الله عليه وسلم) ne farmaya, ilm. Yani wo doodh, ilm tha.[11]

Ahl-e-Ilm

  • Mishkat ki iss hadith me lafz-e-aalim to nahi aya, lekin baat Quran jaanne walay Qari ki ho rahi hai jisay Muslim ne riwayat kiya hai, Farmaya Rasoolullah (صَلَّى ٱللَّٰهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ) ne ke:
    • Qiyamat ke din sab se pehlay, ek shaheed ka faisla kiya jayega,
    • Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى) uss par kiye gaye ehsaan yaad dilayenge aur wo maan lega,
    • to Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى) poochenge ke tu ne iss ka shukar ada karne ke liye kya kiya?
    • Wo shakhs kahega ke, ‘mein tere liye jung kara aur shaheed ho gaya.
    • Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى) farmayenge, tu jhoota hai, tu iss liye jung kiya ke, log tujhe bahadur kahe aur logon ne tujhe bahadur keh diya.’
    • Hukum hoga ke, usay mun ke bal ghaseet kar jahannum mein daal do’,
    • Phir iss ke baad ek aalim ko laya jayega jis ne ilm seekha aur sikhaya aur Quran parha,
    • Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى) uss par bhi kiye gaye ehsaan yaad dilayenge aur wo maan lega,
    • to Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى) poochenge ke tu ne iss ka shukar ada karne ke liye kya kiya?
    • Wo jawab dega ke mein ne ilm haasil kya aur sikhaya aur Quran parha Teri khatir,
    • Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى) farmayenge, tu jhoota hai, tu iss liye ilm haasil kiya ke, log tujhe aalim kahe aur tu ne Quran iss liye parrha ke log tujhe qari kahin, aur unhone (logo ne) aisa keh diya,
    • Hukum hoga ke, usay mun ke bal ghaseet kar jahannum mein daal do’,
    • Phir iss ke baad ek daulat mand ko laya jayega jisay Allah ne khoob property di thi,
    • Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى) uss par bhi kiye gaye ehsaan yaad dilayenge aur wo maan lega,
    • to Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى) poochenge ke tu ne iss ka shukar ada karne ke liye kya kiya?
    • Wo jawab dega, ‘mein ne Teri raza ke liye unn tamam asbaab ko dene mein koi kotahi nahi ki, jisay tu ne iss maqsad ke liye manzoor kiye hain’.
    • Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى) farmayenge, tu jhoota hai, tu ne aisa iss liye kiya taake log tujhe sakhi kahein aur logon ne aisa keh diya’,
    • Iss ke liye bhi hukum hoga ke, usay mun ke bal ghaseet kar jahannum mein daal do’.[12]
  • Ibn Majah ki hadith, Farmaya Rasoolullah (صَلَّى ٱللَّٰهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ) ne ke: “Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى) se nafa bakhsh ilm maango aur aise ilm se Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى) ki panah maango jis se koi faida nahi”,[13]
  • Riyad-us-Saliheen mein ek muttafiqun alaih hadith, farmaya Rasoolullah (صَلَّى ٱللَّٰهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ) ne ke:
    • Hidayat aur ilm ki misaal jis ke sath Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى) ne mujhe bheja hai, uss barish ki tarah hai jo kisi zameen par giray aur zameen ka ek zarkhaiz hissay ne pani jazb kiya aur bohat si ghaas aur haryali ya sabzi paida kee,
    • Ek aur hissa jo thos hai jis ne pani ko rokk rakha hai (ya pani jama huwa hai) aur Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى) iss se insanon ko faida pohanchata hai jinhone khud bhi piya aur doosron ko bhi pilaya aur kheti ke liye bhi istemaal kiya, aur
    • Barish ka kuch hissa rayti ya sehraa per gira, jis mein naa hi pani barqaraar ya jama rehta hai aur naa hi uss me haryali ya sabzi paida hoti hai,
    • Yeh uss shakhs ki misaal hai jo Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى) ke deen ko samjhta hai aur jis ke saath Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى) ne mujhe bheja hai uss se fayda uthata hai, woh seekhta hai aur doosron ko sikhata hai.
    • Aur ye uss shaks ki bhi misaal hai, jo uss cheez se, faida nahi uthata jis ke sath RasoolAllah (صَلَّى ٱللَّٰهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ) ko bheja gaya hai, yani ke Quran se faida nahi utthata) aur naa hi Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى) ki iss hidaayat ko qubool karta hai.[14]
  • Mishkat mein Ahmed ki ek hadith, jise Ibn Majah, Tirmidhi, Darimi ne bhi riwayat kiya hai, jab RasoolAllah (صَلَّى ٱللَّٰهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ) se poocha gaya ke:
    • ilm kaise khatam hoga, jab hum quran parrh rahe hain, aur apne bachon ko sikha rahe hain aur woh qayamat tak apne bachon ko sikhayenge to ilm kaise jata rahega?”
    • Aap (صَلَّى ٱللَّٰهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ) ne farmaya ke: kya yeh yahoodi aur isaai torat aur injeel ko unke maane (jaane ya) samjhe bagair nahi padhte?” [15]
    • Sonch kar dekhiye, aaj hum kya kar rahe hain, bina maane jaane, Quran ko parrhe ja rahe hain.
    • Ulama bhi khatam hote chale ja rahe hain.
  • Mishkat mein Abu Dawood ki hadith jis me ilm ka opposite aya hai, farmaya RasoolAllah (صَلَّى ٱللَّٰهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ) ne ke: “agar kisi ko la-ilmi me fatwa ya qanooni faisla day diya jaye to iss ka gunah fatwa dene wale par aaed hoga, aur agar koi apne bhai ko naseehat kare, yeh jantay huwe ke sahih raasta kisi aur taraf hai, to uss ne dhoka diya.”[16]
    • Iss hadith se pata chala ke, jo fatwa hota hai wo ilm par mabni hota hai, baghair ilm ke fatwa nahi diya ja sakta.
    • Agar aisa koi karta hai to, uss ka gunah fatwa dene wale par hoga.
    • Aur ussi tareeqe se, naseehat bhi dhoka dene ke liye nahi istemaal ki ja sakti.
  • Mishkat mein Bayhaqi ki hadith jis me haamil-e-ilm ka zikr hai, farmaya Rasoolullah (صَلَّى ٱللَّٰهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ) ne ke: “har anay wali sadi mein jo qabil-e-aitmaad ulama hain, woh iss ilm ko mehfooz rakhenge,
  • Mishkat mein Ibn Majah aur Baihaqi ki hadith jis me lafz-e-Ahl-e-Ilm aya hai, Abdallah bin Mas’ud (رَضِيَ ٱللَّٰهُ عَنْهُ) farmate hain:
    • Agar Ahl-e-Ilm (yani ulama), ilm ki hifazat karein aur usay un logon ke supurd karen jo iss ke laiq hain to wo iss tarah apne hum-asr ulama par hukumat karenge,
    • Lekin unhone usay duniya daaron ko ataa kiya, takay iss ke zariye se unn ka kuch duniyawi samaan (faida) hasil ho jaye, aur unhone (yani unn duniya daron ne) unn ulama ki tauheen ki,
    • Abdallah bin Mas’ud (رَضِيَ ٱللَّٰهُ عَنْهُ) aagay farmate hain ke; mein ne tumhare Nabi (صَلَّى ٱللَّٰهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ) ko yeh farmatay huwe suna ke,
    • Agar koi apni abadi kamyabi (yani aakhirat ki kamiyabi) ki fikr ko, apni fikron ka majmoa bana le, yani aakhirat ki kamiyabi par focus kare, to Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى) uss ko dunyawi pareshaniyon se mehfooz rakhay ga,
    • Lekin agar koi shakhs duniya ke mukhtalif muamelaat ki fikr se apne aap ko mashghool kar lega, busy kar lega, to Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى) iss ki parwah nahi ke, wo iss duniya ki kis waadi mein fanaa ho jata hai.[18]

Yahan Dars rok denge, next Saturday In Sha Allah iss ki tafseel agay sunenge.

Al hamdulillahi Rabbil Alameen

Allahumma Silli wa Sallim wa Barik ala abdika wa rasoolika wa sayyidana Muhammad wa ala aalihi wa azwaajihi wa barik wa sallam

[3] ‘Urwa b. Zubair reported that ‘A’isha said to him: This news has reached me that ‘Abdullah b. ‘Amr al-‘As would pass by us during the Hajj season, so you meet him and ask him (about religious matters) as he has acquired great knowledge from Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ). I thus met him and asked him about things which he narrated from Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ). And amongst these the one he mentioned was that Allah’s Apostle (ﷺ) said: Verily, Allah does not take away knowledge from people directly but he takes away the scholars and consequently takes away (knowledge) along with them and leaves amongst persons the ignorant as their leaders who deliver religious verdicts without (adequate) knowledge and themselves go astray and lead others astray. ‘Urwa said: When I narrated this to ‘A’isha, she deemed it too much (to believe) and thus showed reluctance to accept that (as perfectly true) and said to, ‘Urwa: Did he (‘Abdullah b. ‘Amr) say to you that he had heard Allah’s Apostle (ﷺ) as saying: (‘Urwa had forgotten to ask this from ‘Abdullah b. ‘Amr). So when it was the next year, she (‘A’isha) said to him (‘Urwa): Ibn Amr has come (for Hajj), so meet him. talk to him and ask him about this hadith that he narrated to You (last year on the occasion of the Hajj) pertaining to knowledge. He (‘Urwa), said: So I met him, and asked about it and he narrated to me exactly like one that he had narrated (to me) for the first time. So when I informed her (‘A’isha) about that, she said: I do not think but this that he has certainly told the truth and I find that be has neither made any addition to it, nor missed anything from it.

[4] Chapter: The Qurra from among the Companions of the Prophet (saws). Narrated Shaqiq bin Salama: Once `Abdullah bin Mas`ud delivered a sermon before us and said, “By Allah, I learnt over seventy Suras direct from Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) . By Allah, the companions of the Prophet (ﷺ) came to know that I am one of those who know Allah’s Book best of all of them, yet I am not the best of them.” Shaqiq added: I sat in his religious gathering and I did not hear anybody opposing him (in his speech).

Any slave who does his duty towards Allah and towards his masters will have two rewards.” (Sahih)(one of the narrators) Salih said: “Sha’bi said: ‘I have given this (Hadith) to you for little effort on your part. [7] Abu Sa’id Al-Khudri (May Allah be pleased with him) reported:

A woman came to the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) and said: “O Messenger of Allah! Only men benefit from your talks, so please fix a day for us, to teach us the knowledge which Allah has taught you.” The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) fixed a day and directed them to assemble. When they gathered, the Prophet (ﷺ) went to them and taught them what Allah had taught him. He (ﷺ) then said, “Any woman of you whose three children die (in infancy) they will be a guard for her against Fire (of Hell).” One of the women asked: “What if she loses two?” The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) replied, “Even two.” [Al-Bukhari and Muslim].

[12] He (Abu Hurairah) also reported God’s messenger as saying, “The first person to be judged on the day of resurrection will be a man who died as a martyr. He will be brought forward, and after God has reminded him of the favour He showed him and the man acknowledges it, He will ask, ‘What did you do to show gratitude for it?’ The man will reply, ‘I fought for Thy cause till I was martyred.’ God will say, ‘You lie. You fought that people might call you courageous, and they have done so.’ Command will then be issued about him, and he will be dragged on his face and thrown into hell. Next a man who has acquired and taught knowledge and read the Qur’an will be brought forward, and after God has reminded him of the favour He showed him and the man acknowledges it, He will ask, ‘What did you do to show gratitude for it?’ The man will reply, ‘I acquired and taught knowledge and read the Qur’an for Thy sake.’ God will say, ‘You lie. You acquired knowledge that people might call you learned, and you read the Qur’an that they might call you a reader, and they have done so.’ Command will then be issued about him, and he will be dragged on his face and thrown into hell. Next a man whom God has made affluent and whom He has given all kinds of property will be brought forward, and after God has reminded him of the favour He showed him and the man acknowledges it, He will ask, ‘What did you do to show gratitude for it?’ The man will reply, ‘I have not neglected to give liberally for Thy sake to all the causes approved by Thee for this purpose.’ God will say, ‘You lie. You did it that people might call you generous, and they have done so.’ Command will then be issued about him, and he will be dragged on his face and thrown into hell.” Muslim transmitted it.

[14] Abu Musa (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, “The similitude of guidance and knowledge with which Allah has sent me is like a rain which has fallen on some ground. A fertile part of earth has absorbed water and brought forth much grass and herbs. Another part, which is solid, held the water and Allah benefits men thereby, who drank and gave others to drink, and used it for irrigation. But some of it has fallen on a portion of sandy land which neither retains the water nor produces herbage. Such is the likeness of the man who understands the religion of Allah and who gets benefit of what Allah has sent me with; he learns and teaches others. It is also the likeness of the man who neither raises his head on that account (meaning he does not benefit from what the Prophet (ﷺ) was sent with) nor accepts Allah’s Guidance with which I am sent”. [Al-Bukhari and Muslim].

[15] Ziyad b. Labid said: The Prophet mentioned a matter, saying, “That will be at the time when knowledge departs.” I asked, “How can knowledge depart when we recite the Qur’an and teach it to our children and they will teach it to their children up till the day of resurrection?” He replied, “ I am astonished at you,* Ziyad. I thought you were the most learned man in Medina. Do not these Jews and Christians read the Torah and the Injil without knowing a thing about their contents?” Ahmad and Ibn Majah transmitted it, Tirmidhi transmitted something similar from him, as did Darimi from Abu Umama.
