The Quran Asks 04-44

4-44 Did you not consider those who were given a portion of the book? They purchase error and intend that you should go astray from the way. (Al Quran, Chapter 4: Verse 44)
“Or did they not see towards the birds above them, spreading and contracting (their wings)? No one holds them except the beneficent (Allah). He is certainly the Seer of everything.”(67:19)

أَوَلَمْ يَرَوْا إِلَى الطَّيْرِ فَوْقَهُمْ صَافَّاتٍ وَيَقْبِضْنَ مَا يُمْسِكُهُنَّ إِلَّا الرَّحْمَنُ إِنَّهُ بِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ بَصِيرٌ

“Did you not see towards the birds compelled (to follow His Laws) in the space of the sky, no one holds them but Allah, there are certainly signs in that for a people who believe.” (16:79)

أَلَمْ يَرَوْاْ إِلَى الطَّيْرِ مُسَخَّرَاتٍ فِي جَوِّ السَّمَاء مَا يُمْسِكُهُنَّ إِلاَّ اللّهُ إِنَّ فِي ذَلِكَ لَآيَاتٍ لِّقَوْمٍ يُؤْمِنُونَ

The above verses of the Quran invite mankind to reflect on the shape of and the forces acting on birds, which keep them in flight. This invitation to reflect on birds could be to inspire human beings to invent means of transport like aeroplanes. The history of aviation too provides us with a proof that birds had dominated the inspiration of man right from the start. “Early attempts at aviation were often based on bird flight, where the flapping wings provides both the lift and the propulsive thrust.” (page 3 of Aircraft flight, written by Barnard & Phillpott) The cross-section of birds' and aeroplanes' wings is called an aerofoil. The purpose of tail in both, in addition to stability, is to change the direction of flight. The legs of birds and wheels of aeroplanes are drawn in after take-off and while landing they act as shock-absorbers. Like aeroplanes some birds run for a distance and then take off, while others take off from the same spot more like a helicopter. The lift in both is generated due to their wings, the spreading and contraction mentioned in the above verse (67:19) may also refer to the contraction of legs during flight and their extension during landing. The flight of birds and aeroplanes in space is influenced by the atmospheric pressure, gravity and the aerodynamic forces, namely, weight acting downwards, an upward lift, a forward thrust and drag in opposite direction. These forces in addition to the life and consciousness of the bird hold it in flight. The difference between birds and aeroplanes are that birds have
  1. life as a force which is responsible for thrust, while aeroplanes have either propellers or jet engines and
  2. consciousness, which is responsible for maneuvering the flight, while aeroplanes have human consciousness in the form of a pilot or artificial intelligence in the form of computers.
Another hint is contained in the Quran regarding the invention of an aeroplane in the following verses:

وَآيَةٌ لَّهُمْ أَنَّا حَمَلْنَا ذُرِّيَّتَهُمْ فِي الْفُلْكِ الْمَشْحُونِ~ وَخَلَقْنَا لَهُم مِّن مِّثْلِهِ مَا يَرْكَبُونَ

"And a sign for them is that We carried their progeny in a loaded ship. And We created for them (vessels) similar to it, on which they ride (or they will ride)" (36:41-42) In the above verses, the term "yarkaboon" meaning "they ride" is a tense, which is used for both present and future, hence "yarkaboon" may also mean "they will ride", which gives us a hint that such vessels like submarines and aeroplanes will be invented, which would carry human beings. The similarity between submarines & aeroplanes is that both are based on the principles of fluid dynamics. The differences being that of densities, viscosities, etc. of the two fluids, water and air. The Quran has also hinted about aerial attacks through aeroplanes:

أَلَمْ تَرَ كَيْفَ فَعَلَ رَبُّكَ بِأَصْحَابِ الْفِيلِ~ أَلَمْ يَجْعَلْ كَيْدَهُمْ فِي تَضْلِيلٍ~ وَأَرْسَلَ عَلَيْهِمْ طَيْرًا أَبَابِيلَ~ تَرْمِيهِم بِحِجَارَةٍ مِّن سِجِّيلٍ~ فَجَعَلَهُمْ كَعَصْفٍ مَّأْكُولٍ

"Did you not consider, how your Fosterer dealt with the owners of the Elephant? Did He not make their plot useless, and send on them flocks of flying creatures, who pelted them with stones of baked clay, so that He made them like eaten up straw (husk)?" (105:1-5) Guiding human beings was the basic purpose of the revelation of the Quran:

شَهْرُ رَمَضَانَ الَّذِيَ أُنزِلَ فِيهِ الْقُرْآنُ هُدًى لِّلنَّاسِ وَبَيِّنَاتٍ مِّنَ الْهُدَى وَالْفُرْقَانِ

"(It was the) month of Ramazan during which the Quran was sent down for the guidance of human beings, and (it contains) clear explanation of the guidance and the distinctioin (between right and wrong)..." (2:185) Through the above verse, as well as many others, the Quran claims to be a guide for mankind and through the verses quoted earlier it is proved that it has guided mankind even in the sophisticated fields of aerodynamics. It was our misfortune that we did not pay proper attention to such verses providing guidance in the feild of Science & Technology (as also in every other field). Had we taken the pains to understand the Quran as it deserves, we would have been world leaders in practically all fields. WhatsApp per ek post circulate ho raha hai jo Maghfirah aur Afu ke beech farq ko bayan karta hai:

Pehli cheez to yeh hai ke, iss ka koi reference nahi diya gaya, aur doosri cheez yeh hai ke iss post me jo information hai wo adha sahih hai.

Khaas taur per Maghfirah ke mutallaq jo kaha gaya hai wo kayee sawal utthaata hai, uss post ki detail me gaye baghair, hum dekhenge ke sahih maloomaat kya hai.

Jo dua iss me di gayee hai (اللهم إنك عفو تحب العفو فاعفو عنى) wo sahih hai. Lekin is ski detail kya hai wo hum agay batainge.

To iss ko samajhne ke liye, hum ek real life scenario se iss baat ko samajhne ki koshish karte hain, ke ek shaqs jis ki gunah ki zindagi guzar rahi thi, wo Ramazan ke aate hi, jab wo roze rakhne laga uss ko ahsas huwa ke uss ke kayee gunah hain aur wo Allah SWT se dua karne laga aur apne gunahon ki maafi maangne laga, tab hi uss ko Rasoolullah SAWS ki sikhayee huwi dua ka pata chalta hai: Ek Hadith me ata hai ke Ummul Momineen Aisha RA ne Aap SAWS se poocha ke agar mujhe Lailatul Qadr Mil jaye to main Allah se kya maangoon. Aap SAWS ne farmaya:

اَللَّهُمَّ إِنَّكَ عَفُوٌ تُحِبُّ الْعَفْوَ فَاعْفُوْ عَنّىِ

'Allahumma innaka 'afuwwun tuhibbul-'afwa, fa'fu 'anni (Aye Allah, Aap Maaf Karne Wale hai, Gunahon ko mitta dene waale hain, aur aap ko gunahon ko mita dene pasand hai, so aap mere gunahon ko mita dijiye).'

to iss tareeqe se gunah to maaf ho gaye, mitt gaye, lekin wo abh bhi phir se gunah ke raaste per wapas ja sakta hai, aur uss ko gunah ki saza bhi ho sakti hai. To wo iss se kaise bach sakta hai?

Iss ka jawab Surah Baqarah, Chapter 2: Verses 286 ke aakhri hisse me Allah SWT ne sikhaya hai,

...وَاعْفُ عَنَّا وَاغْفِرْ لَنَا وَارْحَمْنَا ۚ أَنْتَ مَوْلَانَا فَانْصُرْنَا عَلَى الْقَوْمِ الْكَافِرِينَ

Hum iss video me sirf ye teen alfaz ko samjhne ki koshish karenge, Wafuanna, Waghfirlana, Warhamna, to sab se pehle

وَاعْفُ عَنَّا

Iss ka matlab hai, Aye Allah mere gunahon ko maaf kar dijiye, mita dijiye (lekin phir aagay gunah karne se kaise bach saktay hain

وَاغْفِرْ لَنَا

Hume Gunah Karne se bacha lijiye, Aur Gunah ki saza se bhi bacha lijiye

Lafz e ghafara, ya maghfirah ya waghfirlana me bachane ka matlab hai, Arab me puraane zamane me, balke abh bhi, auratein apne sar par ek kapda bandhti hain taake tel unki odhni ko na lag jaye. Iss kapne ko Arabi me ‘ghifaratu’. To ye aisa kapda hai jo odhni ko tel se bachata hai.

To ab, gunah namay amal se mita diye gaye, aur hum gunah karne se aur gunahon ki saza se bacha liye gaye,

Bukhari ki ek Hadith me ata hai ke Rasoolullah SAWS din me 70 baar Astaghfaar kiya karte the. Rasoolullah SAWS ne to koi gunah nahi kiya, to gunahon ki maafi kyun maang rahe hain, baat behad saaf hai, ke Aap SAWS gunahon se bahut zyada ghabraate the, issi liye Allah SWT se 70 baar gunahon se bachaw ki dua maangte the.

So Maghfirah me gunahon se bachane ki dua hai

Aur ye bhi kaafi nahi hai

وَارْحَمْنَا

hum par rahm farmaiyye, kyun rahm farmaiyye?

Kyun ke, agar Allah ka Rahm nahi hoga to Jannat me kaise daakhil honge? Muslim ki ek Hadith me Rasoolullah SAWS ne farmaya ke Jannat me koi bhi apnea mal ki wajah se daakhil nahi hoga, sawal karne wale ne arz kiya, kya Aap SAWS bhi nahi daakhil honge? Aap SAWS ne jawab diya ke main bhi nahi dakhil ho sakta, jab tak mera Rab mujhe apni rahmat me na lapetle.

Is ski wajah Quran ki Surah At-Taghabun, Chapter 64: ayat 9 me se samajh me ata hai

يَوْمَ يَجْمَعُكُمْ لِيَوْمِ الْجَمْعِ ۖ ذَٰلِكَ يَوْمُ التَّغَابُنِ ۗ وَمَنْ يُؤْمِنْ بِاللَّهِ وَيَعْمَلْ صَالِحًا يُكَفِّرْ عَنْهُ سَيِّئَاتِهِ وَيُدْخِلْهُ جَنَّاتٍ تَجْرِي مِنْ تَحْتِهَا الْأَنْهَارُ خَالِدِينَ فِيهَا أَبَدًا ۚ ذَٰلِكَ الْفَوْزُ الْعَظِيمُ

Jis roz ke tum sab ko jama hone ke roz jama kiya jayega, wo nuqsaan wala din (nekiyan aur bure amaal ki her pher ka din) hoga, aur jo iman laye Allah par aur nek amal kare wo uss se usski buraiyaan chhupa dega, mita dega, aur baghaat mein daakhil karega, jin ke neeche nehren beh rahi hongi, hamesha unn me rahenge, yehi sab se badi kamiyaabi hai.

To iss ayat me “Yaume Taghabun” istemaal huwa hai, lafz e Taghabun, ghaban se hai, kisi cheez ka her pher hona, aur qiyamat ke din kyun ke hamare sirf amal honge, hamari ya to nehiyan hongi ya bure amaal honge, to hera pheri bhi inhi cheezon ke hogi, iss ko Sahih Muslim ki ek Hadith me samjhaya gaya hai:

Rasoolullah SAWS ne poocha ke Muflis kaun hai? Sahaba ne jawab diya ke hum me se jiss ke paas paisa aur daulat jiss ke paas nahi hai wo muflis hai, Rasoolullah SAWS ne kaha ke meri ummat ka Muflis wo shaks hoga jo Qiyamat ke din nek amal le kar ayega lekin uss ki nekiyan uss shaks ko dedi jayegi jiss par iss ne zulm kiya, jiss ka paisa kha gaya, waghairah. Aur jab nekiya khatam ho jayegi to doosron ki bure amal iss par daal diye jayenge aur usse dozak me phenk diya jayega.

Duniya me aap Allah se gunahon ko maaf karwa le, maghfirat ki dua kar le, Qiyamat me kya hoga, hume nahi maaloom. Quran ki ayat aur Allah ke Rasool SAWS ki ahadith saaf hain, Jab tak Allah ki Rahmat nahi hogi koi Jannat me nahi ja sakega, issi liye Warhamna.

Ye teen alfaaz, issi sequence me, issi tarteeb se jaisa ke Allah SWT ne hume sikhaya hai, waise hi dua mangna chahiye, Wafuanna, Waghfirlana, Warhamna. Tab hi hum Jannat me ja sakte hain.
