Tafseer Surah al-Baqarah Part 9

Bismillah, Alhamdulillahi wahdah was salaatu was salaamu ala man la nabiya ba’adah

Rabbish sharah li sadri wa yassirli amri wahlul uqdatam min lisaani wa yafqahu qauli

As Salaamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu

Pichle Dars me humne, Surah al-Baqarah ki 5wi aur 6ti ayaat ki tafseer suni, jiss me – humne Kafiron ki sifat ke baare me jana, aaj hum 7wi ayat ki tafseer sunenge aur iss me samjhaane ka bohot zyada hai, to iss ayat par kum-as-kum ek aur session lagayga.

Tarjuma wa Tafseer

To Kaafir wo hain, jinhe Allah ne declare kiya ke ye kaafir hain, kyun ke wo tay kar chukay hain ke wo imaan nahi laane walay, ye kab declare karte hain Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى);

  • Jab ek qaum gumrahi ke raah par chal parrhi ho aur Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى) ne unn hi me se kisi ek shaks ko chunn kar apna Nabi bana kar bhejte hain aur wo logon ko Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى) ki taraf dawat deta hai aur na maanne par Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى) ke azaab se daraata hai, agaah karta hai aur agar wo qaum uss Allah ke Nabi ka inkaar karti hai, uss ko jhutlaati hai, tab Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى) wo na maanne wale logon ko Kaafir declare karte hain,
  • Quran me, Surah ash-Shuara ki ye ayat jab nazil huwi, (وَاَنۡذِرۡ عَشِيۡرَتَكَ الۡاَقۡرَبِيۡن‏) aur apne qareebi rishtedaaron ko khabardaar kar di jiye,[1] tab Rasoolullah (صلى الله عليه وسلم) ne Safa ki pahadi par chadh kar, awaz di apne qareebi rishtedaaron ko, Aye Bani Abd Manaf, main chaukanna karne wala hoon, aur beshak meri aur tumhari misaal, uss shaks ki tarah hai jo ek fauj ko dekha aur apni qaum ko chaukanna karne dauda, lekin iss khauf se ke wo fauj uss ke chaukanna karne se pehle uss ki qaum par hamla na karde, wo apni qaum ko pukaarta hai, awaz deta hai – Oh Sabaha, uss zamane me dushman ki fauj se chaukanna karne ke liye ye kaha jata tha.[2]
  • Jab aap (صلى الله عليه وسلم) ne Safa ki pahadi par chadh kar ye pukara to, tamam ke tamam Quraish jama ho gaye, aur poocha “kya mamela hai?” To aap (صلى الله عليه وسلم) ne farmaya, ke agar main kahoon ke ek dushman ki fauj tum par hamla karne wali hai, subah me ya shaam me, kya tum mera yaqeen karoge? Quraish ne kaha ke, “haan, yaqeen to karenge”. To aap (صلى الله عليه وسلم) ne farmaya ke main tumhare liye sakht azaab se daranay wala hoon.” (yahan lafz-e-nazeer istemaal huwa hai ahadith me). Iss par Abu Lahab kehta hai ke, toot jaye tumhare haath, kya iss ke liye hame yahan jama kiya tha. Iss par Surah Masad nazil huwi.[3]
  • Quraish baar baar aap (صلى الله عليه وسلم) ka inkaar karte rahe, inn par pehle ki qaumon ki tarah koi azaab nazil nahi huwa.
  • 12 saal ka waqt guzar gaya aur aap (صلى الله عليه وسلم) hijrat karke Madinah tashreef le gaye aur hijrat ke do saal baad, 2AH me, Mushrikeen-e-Makkah jung ke liye Badr ke Muqaam par, jo Madina se 70-80 meel ke faasle par hai, 1,000 ka lashkar le kar pahunch gaye, 313 Musalmaan jis ke paas barabar hathyar tak nahi thay ladne ke liye, wo apne se 3 gunah bade lashkar ko hara diye.[4]
  • Quran me Kaafiron ke qualities, unn ki sifaat ko define kiya gaya hai, aur ye sirf hume samjhaane ke liye hai ke, ye kaam hume nahi karna hai,
  • Sonch kar dekhiye, Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى) ki hikmat, Rehmatul Li al-Alameen (صلى الله عليه وسلم) ki qaum ko azaab la kar khatam nahi kiya gaya, Mohataram Shehr-e-Makkah ke inkaar karne walon ko, Makkah se 400 km door Badr me la kar saza di gayee, kyun?
  • Kyun ke, aagay Fatah Makkah hona hai, Shehr tabah nahi kar saktay,…, Mohtaram Shehr hai, Allah ka ghar yahan hai, ek azeem Fatah ata karna hai, Rasoolullah (صلى الله عليه وسلم) ko, jiss ki misaal iss duniya me nahi milti. To jab fatah Makkah huwi to Poore ka poora shehr Islam qabool kar liya.
  • Acha phir jab declare kar diya Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى) ne ke ye log Kaafir hain, to kya huwa?

Vs. No. 7

خَتَمَ اللّٰهُ عَلَىٰ قُلُوۡبِهِمۡ وَعَلٰى سَمۡعِهِمۡؕ وَعَلٰىٓ اَبۡصَارِهِمۡ غِشَاوَةٌ وَّلَهُمۡ عَذَابٌ عَظِيۡمٌ‏

Allah ne unn ke dilon aur kaano par mohar laga rakhi hai aur unn ki aankhon par pardah pada huwa hai aur unn ke liye bohot bada azaab hai.

Iss ayat me samajhne ke 7 alfaaz hain, wo hain; Khatama, Quloobihim, Sam’ihim, Absaarihim, Ghishawah, Azaab aur Azeem.

KHATAMA (He has set a Seal) خَتَمَ 2:7

Lafz-e-khatama ka root ya maddah (خ ت م) hai, jis ka matlab Usss ne mohor laga di. He has set a seal – mohor laganay, seal kar denay ke baad koi cheez na andar ja sakti hai aur na bahar. Jaisa ke,

  • Roz marra ki zindagi me hum official documents ya tenders ko wax se seal karte hain aur baaz log iss par mohor lagatay hain, document ko identify karne ke liye, submit karne se pehle,[5]
  • Koi pipe leak kar raha hai to uss par seal laga kar behtay pani ko rok dete hain,
  • Gadiyon me oil seals hotay hain,
  • waghairah, waghairah,

Ab jo hum ayat parrh rahe hain, Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى) farmate hain ke, humne

  • Kafiron ke dilon par aur unn ke sunne ki salahiyat par mohor laga di, seal kar diya, aur unn ki aakhon par ek parda hai, jiss ki wajah se wo deeni maloomat ya Quran ki hidayat ko receive nahi kar sakte, aur iss ke nateeje me wo hidayat ki taraf jo dawat di ja rahi hai wo uss ka inkaar karte hain, ye raaste ke end me, ikhtetaam par Azab-e-Ilahi hai.[6]
  • Qiyamat ke din Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى) aise mujrimon ke munh par mohor laga dega aur unn ke hath bolenge aur unn ke paaon uss burai ki gawahi denge jo unhon ne kiya tha,[7]
  • Surah al-Mutaffifeen me farmaya ke, unhe khalis sharab pilayee jayegi, jiss par mohor lagi hogi, jo mishq se yani musk se bani hogi, aur iss cheez ko hasil karne ke liye koshish karein baazi le jaanay walay,[8] Iss ke liye koshish to duniya me hi hona chahiye, Iman layenge aur behtareen amal karenge to ye hasil hoga.
  • Muhammad (صلى الله عليه وسلم) ko khaatam an-Nabiyyeen kaha gaya hai, kyun ke,
    • Ek to nabuwwat khatam ho gayee, to aap (صلى الله عليه وسلم) aakhri nabi hain,
    • Doosre ab iss ke baad koi aur nabi aanay walay nahi hai, to Nubuwwat ko seal kar diya,[9]
  • To iss aitebaar se Quran aakhri wahi, aakhri kalam hai Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى) ka insaano ke liye, to iss ko bhi seal kar diya – iss me jhoot dakhil hi nahi ho sakta aur na kuch dakhil ho sakta hai,[10]
  • Yahan baat samajh me aati ke, sirf Quran ki hifazat ki hi zimmadari Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى) kyun li? Kyun ke, ab wo Qanoon aa gaya jisay saaray insaan follow kar saktay hain aur ab iss ke baad koi aur nabi, ya wahi ya qanoon anay wala nahi hai,
  • Aur yehi wajah hai ke, Quran parrhte waqt agar koi ghalati karta hai to uss ko rok aur tok diya jata.

Ahadith me Lafz-e-Khatama ke maanay,

  • Kayee ahadith me, Khatam honay ke, ya kisi cheez ke end honay ke aye hain,[11]
  • Muslim Shareef ki hadith 523a me farmaya ke, “Mujhay doosre anbiya par fazeelat, 6 cheezon ki wajah se di gayee hai;
    • Pehli fazeelat, (جَوَامِعَ الْكَلِمِ) do lafz me ye point aap (صلى الله عليه وسلم) bol diye, jiss ka matlab, Mujhay aise alfaaz diye gaye hain, jo mukhtasar hain, concise hain, magar maano ke lehaaz se jamae hain, comprehensive hain,
    • Doosri fazeelat, (وَنُصِرْتُ بِالرُّعْبِ) phir do alfaaz me ye point convey kar diye, jiss ka matlab, Mere dushmano ke dilon me robe se madad mili hai, yani dushman ke dilon me Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى) khauf aur wahshat daal dete thay, aur iss tarah aap (صلى الله عليه وسلم) ko advantage tha, ye bhi Allah ki ek madad thi,
    • Teesri fazeelat, (وَأُحِلَّتْ لِيَ الْغَنَائِمُ) jiss ka matlab, Maal-e-Ghaneemat, Booty of War, mere liye halal kar di gayee,
    • Chohti fazeelat, (وَجُعِلَتْ لِيَ الأَرْضُ طَهُورًا وَمَسْجِدًا) jiss ka matlab, zameen ko mere liye paak aur sajday ki jagah bana di gayee hai,
    • Paanchwi fazeelat, (وَأُرْسِلْتُ إِلَى الْخَلْقِ كَافَّةً) jiss ka matlab, Mujhay tamam insaaniyat ke liye Nabi aur Rasool bana kar bheja gaya hai, aur
    • Chhetti fazeelat, (وَخُتِمَ بِيَ النَّبِيُّونَ) aur Mujh par nubuwwat ke silsilay khatam kiya.[12]
  • Sahih al-Bukhari ki hadith 3106 me, Rasoolullah (صلى الله عليه وسلم) ki anghoti ka zikr hai, jisay aap (صلى الله عليه وسلم) istemaal kiya karte thay, documents aur letters ko stamp karne ke liye, apni mohar lagaya karte thay uss anghoti se. Jiss par Muhammadu Rasoolu Allah engrave kiya huwa tha, Muhammad (صلى الله عليه وسلم) ek line me, uss ke ooper ki line me Rasool aur sab se ooper Allah engraved tha.[13]

Doosra lafz iss ayat ka, Quloobihim hai.

QULOOBIHIM (Their Hearts or minds) كَفَرُوۡا ( ق ل ب ) 2:7

Lafz-e-quloobihim, jis ka root ya maddah (ق ل ب) hai, jiss ke literal maane dil ke hain, lekin hamare ustaad Dr. Anees ne Quran ki tamam ayat ko analyze karne ke baad iss ka tarjuma dil-o-dimagh ke kiye hain, issi root se jo alfaaz bane hain,

  • Lafz-e-Tuqlaboon aya hai, jo tamam insaano ka Allah ki taraf lauta diye janay ke liye aya hai,[14] Surah al-Ankaboot, Ayat 21 me,
  • Lafz-e-Nuqallibuhum aya hai, ashaab-e-kahaf ka neend me dayein aur bayein karwat badalnay ke liye aya hai,[15]
  • Lafz-e-Yanqalib aya hai, jo Rasoolullah (صلى الله عليه وسلم) aur Sahaba ka pehle Umray se apne ghar walon ke paas na laut paanay ke gumaan ke baare me hai,[16]
  • Lafz-e-Taqallubu aya hai, jo Logon ka ya kaafiron ka Shehron me chalnay phirnay ke liye aya hai,[17]
  • Lafz-e-Yuqallibu aya hai, ek jagah par jo azab ke baad nuqsan dekh kar haath malne ke liye aya hai,[18] aur doosri jagah par raat aur din ke ulat pher ya adla badli ke liye aya hai,[19]
  • Lafz-e-Tataqallabu aya hai, jiss din dil khauf aur ghabrahat ki wajah se ulat jayenge aur aankhein ooper ko chadh jayengi ke liye aya hai,[20]
  • Lafz-e-Inqalaba aya hai, jo ulta phir jaatay hain ke aya hai,[21] issi se inqilaab hai,
  • Lafz-e-Anqalabtum aya hai Surah Aal-Imran me, kaha gaya ke, Aur Muhammad (صلى الله عليه وسلم) to sirf Allah ke Rasool hain, unn se pehle bhi bohot se Rasool ho guzray hain, bhala agar ye marr jayen ya qatl kar diye jaye, to kya tum ultay paaon phir jaoge?…[22]
  • Lafz-e-Mutaqallibakum aya hai jo movement ya harkat ke maano me aya hai aur iss ka opposite araam hai, rest hai.[23]

Qalb uss ko kehte hain jo har waqt harkat me hota hai bar-khilaf sukoon me rehne ke. Ghaliban issi musalsil harkat ya be-sukooni (ya dhadkne) ki wajah se Qalb ka lafz dil ke liye istemaal hota hai,

  • jo seene me hota hai,[24] aur
  • wo ek hi hai,[25]

Quran me kayee ayaat aye hain, jahan Lafz-e-Qalb zehan ke maano me istemaal huwa hai,

  • jo dimagh se wabasta hai,[26] aur
  • dimagh Ilm se wabasta hai,[27] aur
  • samajh se aur faham se wabasta hai.[28]

Yahan ek baat ghaur karne ki ye hai ke, Dil ek aisa azoo hai, ya ek aisa organ hai jo khoon pump karta hai, ya jiss ke wajah se khoon ki rawangi hai. Insaan ke phepday khoon me oxygen shamil kar dete hain, aur wahan se khoon uss oxygen ko dimagh hi nahi jism ke tamam hisson me pahunchata hai, na sirf oxygen balke gizah aur doosre zaroori salts bhi faraham karta hai.

Hamara consciousness ya shaoor, dimagh ko khoon ki barabar supply par munhassir hai, aur agar khoon ye zaroori cheezen insaani dimagh tak nahi pahuncha pata to insaan behosh ho jata hai. Issi liye hum sunte hain ke, koi achi ya buri khabar sunne ke baad heart attack ho gaya,

  • Asal me hota hai hai ke, insaani dimagh jab bhi kisi fikr ya jazbaat se mutassir hota hai to uss ko khoon ki zyada zaroorat hoti hai,
  • Jo dil supply karta rehta hai aur aam taur par ye dil-o-dimagh ka coordination chalta rehta hai,
  • Matlab jitna bhi khoon ki supply dimagh ko chahiye, dil uss ko poora karta hai,
  • To jab zyada khushi ya zyada ghum hota hai, to wo dil uss supply ko poora nahi kar pata aur iss ke nateeje me fail ho jata hai, jiss se maut waqay ho jaati hai.
  • Aur shayed issi liye Quran me Lafz-e-Qalb dil ke liye bhi aya aur dimagh ke liye bhi aya hai.

Jo achi cheezen Qalb ke saath wabasta hai, wo hain;

  • Qalbin-Saleem se, aisa dil jo be-Ayb ho, tamam buriyyon se paak ho,[29]
  • Qalbin-Muneeb se, aisa dil jo rujoo karne wala ho, baar baar Allah ki taraf palatne wala, tauba karne wala,[30]
  • Quran se wabasta hai,[31]
  • Dilon ki narmi, jiss say Allah ki yaad, ya Allah ka zikr wabasta hai,[32]
  • Iman se wabasta hai,[33]
  • Hidayat se,[34]
  • Aajizi se jhuk jaane, ya maan lene se,[35]
  • Allah ke Dilon ke mazboot karne se,[36]
  • Aasmaan se sakeenah nazil hone se, yani sukoon ki kaifiyat,[37]
  • Itmenan se,[38]
  • Taqwe se, Allah se darr kar gunahon se bachne se,[39]
  • Shafaqqat aur Meherbaani, pity and mercy, taras aur reham se,[40]
  • Musalmano me unity se,[41]
  • Dilon ki khott ko chhanttne se ya dilon ko khalis aur saaf karne se,[42]
  • Dilon ko Paak karne se,[43]
  • Reconciliation se yani sulah se, taleef-e-qalb se,[44]
  • Allah ka zikr sunn kar laraz jaanay se, darr jaanay se,[45]
  • Maail honey se, seedhi raah se hatt jaanay se.[46]

Jo buri cheezen Qalb se wabasta hai, wo hain;

  • Seedhay raaste se hatt jaanay se,[47]
  • Achi aur paak cheeze dil me daakhil nahi ho sakti, dil par parday ki wajah se,[48]
  • Dil par qufl se,[49]
  • Mohar se, sealed hone ki wajah se,[50]
    • dil par, kaano aur aankhon par,[51]
    • Jhagdaalu honay ki wajah se,[52]
  • Gunah se,[53]
  • Ghaflat se,[54]
  • Bimari se,[55]
  • Robe se,[56]
  • Maut ke darr se,[57]
  • Ghabrahatt se,[58]
  • Khudhne se,[59]
  • Dilon ki sakhti se,[60]
  • Ikhtelaaf se,[61]
  • Boghz, keena, wa hasad jaise ill feelings se,[62]
  • Bachhde ki pooja se,[63] yani shirk se,
  • Afsos se ya hasrat ya regret se,[64]
  • Munafiqat se,[65]
  • Inkaar ya rejection se,[66]
  • Qabool na karne se, refusal se,[67]
  • Ghussay se,[68]
  • Ghazab se,[69]
  • Shak se,[70]
  • Waqt guzari, khel-o-ghaflat se,[71]
  • Jahalat se,[72]
  • Dilon par zang se,[73]
  • Dil ka halaq me aa phansne se,[74]
  • Buri cheezon ka acha dikhaye jaane se,[75]
  • Bure raazon se.[76]

Hamara Dil, hamara Qalb hamari niyyaton ke liye zimmadar,[77] Aur Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى) farmate hain ke, wo insaan aur uss ke Qalb ke darmiyaan hayel ho jaate hain aur wo yani ke Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى) jaante hain hamare dilon me kya hai.[78]

Ahadith me bhi Qalb ke maane dil ke hi aye hain;

  • Rasoolullah (صلى الله عليه وسلم) ne farmaya ke, Ye mere Qalb par bhaari guzarta hai, agar main din me 100 baar isteghfaar na karoon.[79]
  • Jhoot ka asar Qalb par ya Dill par hota hai, Abdullah Ibn Masood se marwi hai ke, “Ek banda jhoot bolta rehta hai aur uss ke dil par kala nishaan badhta rehta hai, jab tak ke poora dil kala na ho jaye. Aur phir wo Allah ke paas jhooton me shumaar kar liya jata hai.[80]
  • Issi silsilay me ek aur hadith milti hai, jis me dilon ke zang ki taraf ishara karte huwe Quran ki Surah al-Mutaffifeen ki ayat #14 ki taraf ishara kiya gaya.[81]
  • Rasoolullah (صلى الله عليه وسلم) ne farmaya ke, Allah ka zikr kiye baghair zyada baat na karo, kyun ke, Allah ke zikr ke baghair zyada baat dil me sakhti paida karti hai aur Allah se sab se zyada door wo hai jis ka dil sakht ho.[82]
  • Rasoolullah (صلى الله عليه وسلم) ne farmaya ke, Shaitan Ibn Adam ke dil me baittha huwa hai, jab wo Allah ka zikr karta hai to wo peechhay hatt jata hai, lekin jab wo ghafil hota hai to wo buri tajweez karta hai.[83]
  • Rasoolullah (صلى الله عليه وسلم) ne farmaya ke, Wo shaks Jahannam ki aag me nahi jayega jiss ke dil me rai ke daane ke barabar iman hoga aur wo shaks Jannat me nahi jayega jiss ke dil me rai ke daane ke barabar bhi takabbur hoga.[84]

To yahan hum aaj ka dars rok denge, aglay hafte hum Surah al-Baqarah ki tafseer agay sunenge. In Sha Allah.

Al hamdulillahi Rabbil Alameen

Allahumma Silli wa Sallim wa Barik ala Muhammad wa ala aalihi wa azwaajihi wa barik wa sallam

Rabbana aatina fid duniya…

I am a warner; my similitude and your similitude is like a man who saw the enemy and went to guard his people, but, being afraid they might get there before him, he shouted: Be on your guard!

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو كَامِلٍ الْجَحْدَرِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ زُرَيْعٍ، حَدَّثَنَا التَّيْمِيُّ، عَنْ أَبِي عُثْمَانَ، عَنْ قَبِيصَةَ بْنِ الْمُخَارِقِ، وَزُهَيْرِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو، قَالاَ لَمَّا نَزَلَتْ ‏{‏ وَأَنْذِرْ عَشِيرَتَكَ الأَقْرَبِينَ‏}‏ قَالَ انْطَلَقَ نَبِيُّ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم إِلَى رَضْمَةٍ مِنْ جَبَلٍ فَعَلاَ أَعْلاَهَا حَجَرًا ثُمَّ نَادَى ‏”‏ يَا بَنِي عَبْدِ مَنَافَاهْ إِنِّي نَذِيرٌ إِنَّمَا مَثَلِي وَمَثَلُكُمْ كَمَثَلِ رَجُلٍ رَأَى الْعَدُوَّ فَانْطَلَقَ يَرْبَأُ أَهْلَهُ فَخَشِيَ أَنْ يَسْبِقُوهُ فَجَعَلَ يَهْتِفُ يَا صَبَاحَاهْ ‏”‏ ‏.‏

[3] Narrated Ibn `Abbas: One day the Prophet (ﷺ) ascended Safa mountain and said, “Oh Sabah! ” All the Quraish gathered round him and said, “What is the matter?” He said, Look, if I told you that an enemy is going to attack you in the morning or in the evening, would you not believe me?” They said, “Yes, we will believe you.” He said, “I am a warner to you in face of a terrible punishment.” On that Abu Lahab said, “May you perish ! Is it for this thing that you have gathered us?” So Allah revealed: ‘Perish the hands of Abu Lahab!…’ (111.1)

حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ خَازِمٍ، حَدَّثَنَا الأَعْمَشُ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ مُرَّةَ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ـ رضى الله عنهما ـ قَالَ صَعِدَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم الصَّفَا ذَاتَ يَوْمٍ فَقَالَ ‏”‏ يَا صَبَاحَاهْ ‏”‏ فَاجْتَمَعَتْ إِلَيْهِ قُرَيْشٌ قَالُوا مَا لَكَ قَالَ ‏”‏ أَرَأَيْتُمْ لَوْ أَخْبَرْتُكُمْ أَنَّ الْعَدُوَّ يُصَبِّحُكُمْ أَوْ يُمَسِّيكُمْ أَمَا كُنْتُمْ تُصَدِّقُونِي ‏”‏‏.‏ قَالُوا بَلَى‏.‏ قَالَ ‏”‏ فَإِنِّي نَذِيرٌ لَكُمْ بَيْنَ يَدَىْ عَذَابٍ شَدِيدٍ ‏”‏‏.‏ فَقَالَ أَبُو لَهَبٍ تَبًّا لَكَ أَلِهَذَا جَمَعْتَنَا فَأَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ ‏{‏تَبَّتْ يَدَا أَبِي لَهَبٍ‏}‏‏.‏

[11] It was narrated that ‘Uqbah bin ‘Amir Al-Juhani said: “While I was leading the Messenger of Allah [SAW] on his mount on a military campaign, he said: ‘O ‘Uqbah, say!’ I listened, then he said: ‘O ‘Uqbah, say!’ I listened, then he said it a third time. I said: ‘What should I say?’ He said: ‘Say: He is Allah, (the) One…’ and he recited the Surah to the end. Then he recited: ‘Say: I seek refuge with (Allah) the Lord of the daybreak…’ and I recited it with him until the end. Then he recited: ‘Say: I seek refuge with (Allah) the Lord of mankind…’ and I recited it with him until the end. Then he said: ‘No one ever sought refuge (with Allah) by means of anything like them.'”

أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي الْقَعْنَبِيُّ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ سُلَيْمَانَ، عَنْ مُعَاذِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ خُبَيْبٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ الْجُهَنِيِّ، قَالَ بَيْنَا أَنَا أَقُودُ، بِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم رَاحِلَتَهُ فِي غَزْوَةٍ إِذْ قَالَ ‏”‏ يَا عُقْبَةُ قُلْ ‏”‏ ‏.‏ فَاسْتَمَعْتُ ثُمَّ قَالَ ‏”‏ يَا عُقْبَةُ قُلْ ‏”‏ ‏.‏ فَاسْتَمَعْتُ فَقَالَهَا الثَّالِثَةَ فَقُلْتُ مَا أَقُولُ فَقَالَ ‏”‏ ‏{‏ قُلْ هُوَ اللَّهُ أَحَدٌ ‏}‏ ‏”‏ ‏.‏ فَقَرَأَ السُّورَةَ حَتَّى خَتَمَهَا ثُمَّ قَرَأَ ‏{‏ قُلْ أَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ الْفَلَقِ ‏}‏ وَقَرَأْتُ مَعَهُ حَتَّى خَتَمَهَا ثُمَّ قَرَأَ ‏{‏ قُلْ أَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ النَّاسِ ‏}‏ فَقَرَأْتُ مَعَهُ حَتَّى خَتَمَهَا ثُمَّ قَالَ ‏”‏ مَا تَعَوَّذَ بِمِثْلِهِنَّ أَحَدٌ ‏”‏ ‏.‏

Abu Huraira reported: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) came out to us and said: I am going to recite before you one-third of the Qur’an. He (the Holy Prophet) then recited:” Say: He is Allah, One–Allah, the Eternal,” to the end of the Surah.

Jubair b. Nufair reported God’s messenger as saying, “God finished sūra al Baqara with two verses which I have been given from His treasure which is under the Throne ; so learn them and teach them to your womenfolk, for they are a blessing, a means of approach [to God] and a supplication.” Dārimī transmitted it in mursal form.

[12] Abu Huraira reported that the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) said: I have been given superiority over the other prophets in six respects: I have been given words which are concise but comprehensive in meaning; I have been helped by terror (in the hearts of enemies): spoils have been made lawful to me: the earth has been made for me clean and a place of worship; I have been sent to all mankind and the line of prophets is closed with me.

وَحَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَيُّوبَ، وَقُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، وَعَلِيُّ بْنُ حُجْرٍ، قَالُوا حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ، – وَهُوَ ابْنُ جَعْفَرٍ – عَنِ الْعَلاَءِ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ ‏ “‏ فُضِّلْتُ عَلَى الأَنْبِيَاءِ بِسِتٍّ أُعْطِيتُ جَوَامِعَ الْكَلِمِ وَنُصِرْتُ بِالرُّعْبِ وَأُحِلَّتْ لِيَ الْغَنَائِمُ وَجُعِلَتْ لِيَ الأَرْضُ طَهُورًا وَمَسْجِدًا وَأُرْسِلْتُ إِلَى الْخَلْقِ كَافَّةً وَخُتِمَ بِيَ النَّبِيُّونَ ‏”‏ ‏.‏

[13] Narrated Anas: That when Abu Bakr became the Caliph, he sent him to Bahrain and wrote this letter for him, and stamped it with the Ring of the Prophet. Three lines were engraved on the Ring, (the word) ‘Muhammad’ was in a line, ‘Apostle’ was in another line, and ‘Allah’ in a third.

[79] Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) said: “It is a heavy thing for my heart if I do not seek Allah’s forgiveness a hundred times a day.” Reference: Muslim 4/2075. Ibn ‘Athir explains that the Prophet (ﷺ) was always vigilant in his remembrance and drawing near to Allah, and if he forgot to do any of what he normally did from time to time, or it slipped his mind, he felt as if he had wronged himself and so he would begin to seek the forgiveness of Allah. .وَقَالَ صلى الله عليه وسلم: إِنَّهُ لَيُغَانُ عَلَى قَلْبِي وَإِنِّي لأَسْتَغْفِرُ اللَّهَ فِي الْيَوْمِ مِائَةَ مَرَّةٍ.

Al-Agharr Al-Muzani (May Allah be pleased with him) said:

The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, “Sometimes I perceive a veil over my heart, and I supplicate Allah for forgiveness a hundred times in a day.” [Muslim].

وعن الأغر المزني رضي الله عنه أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال‏:‏ ‏ “‏إنه ليغان على قلبي، وإني لأستغفر الله في اليوم مائة مرة‏”‏ ‏(‏‏(‏رواه مسلم‏)‏‏)‏‏.‏

[80] Malik related to me that he heard that Abdullah ibn Masud used to say, “The slave continues to lie and a black spot grows in his heart until all his heart becomes black. Then he is written, in Allah’s sight, among the liars.”

وَحَدَّثَنِي مَالِكٌ، أَنَّهُ بَلَغَهُ أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ مَسْعُودٍ، كَانَ يَقُولُ لاَ يَزَالُ الْعَبْدُ يَكْذِبُ وَتُنْكَتُ فِي قَلْبِهِ نُكْتَةٌ سَوْدَاءُ حَتَّى يَسْوَدَّ قَلْبُهُ كُلُّهُ فَيُكْتَبَ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ مِنَ الْكَاذِبِينَ ‏.‏

[81] Abu Huraira reported God’s messenger as saying, “When a believer sins there is black spot in his heart, and if he repents and asks pardon his heart is polished; but if he does more it increases till it gains the ascendancy over his heart. That is the rust mentioned by God most high, ‘Nay, but what they were committing has spread like rust over their hearts’.” Qur’an, lxxxiii, 14. Ahmad, Tirmidhi and Ibn Majah transmitted it, Tirmidhi saying this is a hasan sahih tradition.

وَعَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: ” إِنِ الْمُؤْمِنَ إِذَا أَذْنَبَ كَانَتْ نُكْتَةٌ سَوْدَاءُ فِي قَلْبِهِ فَإِنْ تَابَ وَاسْتَغْفَرَ صُقِلَ قَلْبُهُ وَإِنْ زَادَ زَادَتْ حَتَّى تَعْلُوَ قَلْبَهُ فَذَلِكُمُ الرَّانُ الَّذِي ذَكَرَ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى (كَلَّا بَلْ رَانَ عَلَى قُلُوبِهِمْ مَا كَانُوا يكسِبونَ) رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ وَالتِّرْمِذِيُّ وَابْنُ مَاجَهْ وَقَالَ التِّرْمِذِيُّ: هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيح – حكم : لم تتمّ دراسته (الألباني)

[82] Ibn ‘Umar reported God’s messenger as saying, “Do not speak much without mentioning God, for much talk without mention of God produces hardness of heart, and the one who is farthest from God is he who has a hard heart.” Tirmidhi transmitted it.

وَعَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «لَا تُكْثِرُوا الْكَلَامَ بِغَيْرِ ذِكْرِ اللَّهِ فَإِنَّ كَثْرَةَ الْكَلَامِ بِغَيْرِ ذِكْرِ اللَّهِ قَسْوَةٌ لِلْقَلْبِ وَإِنَّ أَبْعَدَ النَّاسِ مِنَ اللَّهِ الْقَلْبُ الْقَاسِي» . رَوَاهُ التِّرْمِذِيّ حكم : لم تتمّ دراسته (الألباني)

[83] Ibn ‘Abbas reported God’s messenger as saying, “The devil is couching at the heart of the son of Adam. When he mentions God he withdraws, but when he is neglectful he makes evil suggestions.” Bukhari mentioned it in a note.

[84] It is narrated on the authority of ‘Abdullah b. Mas’ud that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) observed: None shall enter the Fire (of Hell) who has in his heart the weight of a mustard seed of Iman and none shall enter Paradise who has in his heart the weight of a mustard seed of pride.

حَدَّثَنَا مِنْجَابُ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ التَّمِيمِيُّ، وَسُوَيْدُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، كِلاَهُمَا عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ مُسْهِرٍ، – قَالَ مِنْجَابٌ أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ مُسْهِرٍ، – عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم ‏ “‏ لاَ يَدْخُلُ النَّارَ أَحَدٌ فِي قَلْبِهِ مِثْقَالُ حَبَّةِ خَرْدَلٍ مِنْ إِيمَانٍ وَلاَ يَدْخُلُ الْجَنَّةَ أَحَدٌ فِي قَلْبِهِ مِثْقَالُ حَبَّةِ خَرْدَلٍ مِنْ كِبْرِيَاءَ ‏”‏ ‏.‏
